Dash For Down Syndrome raises funds and awareness for the Eastern Idaho Down Syndrome Family Connect organization. This is a day of celebration for the local Down syndrome community, their families, and supporters. We want to thank all of the sponsors, volunteers, and individuals that make this race possible.
EVENT INFORMATION We are excited for race day, August 27, 2022, and can't wait to see you there! Our in-person race will be held at Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls!!!
REGISTER EARLY!!! The 1st 900 people that register are guaranteed a SWAG BAG!
Any 10K and 3.21 Mile participants registered BEFORE August 1st will be guaranteed a race t-shirt (or if you order an add-on shirt before August 1st). August 1st and on there will be limited shirt sizes if you register for the 10K or 3.21 Mile race or if you wish to purchase a shirt. So register early!
We will have medals at the finish line of each race. You also MUST HAVE YOUR BIB ON when you cross the finish line to receive your official medal!
If you register for the 10K or 3.21 Mile race you may also participate in the fun run! You do not need to register for both. Only one registration per person is needed.
INDIVIDUALS WITH DOWN SYNDROME Individuals with Down syndrome that are registered for any of the three races will get a t-shirt, an engraved medal, and a racecourse poster. They will be highlighted on race day to celebrate their successes! If you are registering an individual with Down syndrome please choose the "Individual with Down Syndrome" registration option so we can make sure we have everything ready for them at the race! PACKET PICK-UP Friday, August 26, 2022 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM Location: Eastern Idaho Down Syndrome Family Connect Office, 1675 S Woodruff, Idaho Falls, 83404 We are between Gandolfos and Red Clover. Parking can be a bit limited so we will have 5 spaces marked as "Dash Parking" right across from our office. We will have our sponsor flags and our swag store up so make sure to take a look at those as you pick up your packets. You may have someone pick up your packet for you. You do not need to let us know ahead of time, you can just have the person picking up the packet let us know when they get here! TIMING BIBS We will be timing the 10K & 3.21 Mile Run. Vector Timing will be timing this year. You will get your chipped bibs at Packet Pick-Up on August 26th.
STARTING TIMES 10K- 8:45 am 3.21 Mile- 9:00 am (Walkers and Runners) Fun Run/Walk- 10:30 am (There will be a group photo right after the Fun Run/Walk and BEFORE the medal ceremony!)
PARKING/RESTROOMS Both will be available at the event site.
MILES/TURNS The courses will be clearly marked with signs and staffed uniformed volunteers. Please obey their instructions for your protection and safety. There will also be a race map in each swag bag and posters at the race to help you see the routes ahead of time.
FUN RUN Starts at 10:30 AM. The course will be less than a mile. (NO shirts are given for the Fun Run but are available for purchase when you register.)
RESULTS Vector Timing will have results uploaded on the It's Your Race website and app.
VOLUNTEERS Our race doesn't exist without our volunteers. If you or someone you know is not running/walking, but wants to be part of the experience please e-mail Mary Murray at dashfordownsyndrome@gmail.com. We welcome groups as well such as church, scout, work, school, or neighborhood groups.

We will automatically transfer your registration to the virtual race (refunds will not be provided). But we are going to do all we can to have an in-person event!!!***
